The Merkava Mk.4 is the latest variant of the Merkava series tanks. The protection of front hull and turret top against enemy anti-tank weapons has been greatly enhanced on Merkava Mk.4. And the armor has been changed to modular armor. This tank is fitted with the German MTU883 engine coupled to a brand-new automatic transmission. The new power system can generate an output of 1500hp. It’s widely equipped with the Droid soft-kill active protection system which can detect the ranging or guiding laser beams from an ATGM launcher and then automatically disrupt its guiding system. The brand-new Nochri-Kal mine roller system is specially designed for the Merkava tanks.

This MENG TS-049 1/35 Israel Main Battle Tank Merkava Mk.4/4 LIC w/Nochri-Kal Mine Roller System model kit is released on the 50th anniversary of the Merkava main battle tank family. This is another heavyweight product presented by MENG and Desert Eagle Publishing. This kit features movable suspension and workable tracks. The storage basket canvas cover is designed by digital sculpting. The one-piece ball and chain armor parts are realistic and easy to assemble. All crew hatches can be built in the open or closed position. Transparent parts are used for lights, observation windows and optical instruments. Fine PE parts are included. This kit includes a precision Droid active protection system and a movable Nochri-Kal mine roller system. It can be built as a Merkava Mk.4 or Merkava Mk.4 LIC.
